Hollis Jeffcoat

Hollis Jeffcoat studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and the New York Studio School with some of the great painter/teachers of our time, and apprenticed with Joan Mitchell in France for three years. She has lived, worked and taught in France, Canada, Florida and New York. While her lineage goes back to the New York School, Jeffcoat goes beyond abstract expressionism creating a style that is hers alone. Her work always reflects her love of nature and is filled with light, energy and color intensity. Jeffcoat’s work is in several museums in Canada and New York City including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Brooklyn Museum and the Morgan Library.
