Jill Brougher
Jill Brougher found her muse when she lived on Sanibel Island. Searching for inspiration for her art, she looked down into the water one day and saw three shells nestled together; she was smitten. Brougher has elevated the drawing of shells to high art. Her sensitivity of touch, clear handling of charcoal and smooth surface create beautiful works that draw us in, and then hold us entranced.
Brougher received a BFA from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 1998. She has exhibited regionally and received an award and Florida Cultural Grant for her work.
