Ceramicist and painter Wendy Olson creates sculptures and vessels populated with an ever-growing cast of colorful, quirky characters.

Olson's work is inspired by her life in the country and her meditations on the interactions between humans and animals, and she says she sees her work as a visual journal of her daily life.

Olson received her BFA in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and her MFA in Ceramics from Kent State University. Her home and studio are in River Falls, and she teaches ceramics at Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota.
